Langtang Region is the third most popular destination after Annapurna and Everest due to its easy accessibility and beauty. Langtang valley trek is a delightful and most charming destination in the Langtang region. Within a short duration, the Langtang Valley trek offers grand views of Langtang Lirung (7,234m), Ganesh Himal (7,406m), Gangchherpu, and the massive thrilling Langtang Himalayas. This trek also provides insight into the varied ethnic lifestyles of the Tamangs and Yolmo inhabitants of this area. The trekking trail starts either from Dhunche or Syabrubesi, which is a full-day drive away from Kathmandu via Trisuli.

 The Langtang valley trail passes through the thickly forested area of blue pine, oaks, maple, spruce, and rhododendron (one-fourth of the park is forest). The trail follows the Langtangriver bank until Kyangjin gompa. At Kyangin gompa there are various options for short excursions like Kyangjin Ri (4,870m and Tserku Ri 4970m) is 2 – 4 hours up and an hour down and it offers spectacular views of the surrounding Himalayas. Kyanjin Ri and Tserku Ri's viewpoint is the best viewpoint to see the marvelous scenarios of Langtang valley.

The Kyanjin Gompa is an alluring place to spend unforgettable memories and to discover the flora and fauna of the Langtang region. A local cheese factory and historical Buddist monastery are the major attractions of Kyanjin Gompa. Moreover, a visit to Langtang Lirung glacier takes 2 hours one way and if you have ample time visit to Langshisa Kharka is worth it as it offers views of Shisha Pangma (8,046m) across the land of Tibet. 

The Langtang Valley Trail combined popular treks like Tamang Heritage Trail, Langtang valley with Ganja la Pass Trek, and Gosainkunda Lake Trek. Where pilgrims congregate on specific days of the year to wash off their sins. The Gosainkunda lake elevation is located at 4380m above sea level and there are many lakes around the Gosainkunda. There are altogether five Kundas (lakes) among which Gosainkund is the biggest and the holiest. The trek down from the holy lake passes through Laurebina La (4,600m) and descends drastically through the forestland of Helambu valley.

The Langtang valley trek is a low altitude and easiest trekking route in Nepal. It’s one of the most reliable and preferred treks in the Langtang region. The whole treks are completely based on the teahouse and 6 to 13 days are required to complete the whole trek from Kathmandu.
